IKK vs Toast: Hip-hop Beef Turns into Social Media Wrestling Match

Malawi’s hip-hop scene is serving fresh drama again after the latest Podcast Malawi episode featuring IKK stirred a new round of playful but sharp exchanges involving Slessor, Toast, Tay Grin and Gwamba.
During the podcast, Martin Anjelz and IKK threw shade at Toast, claiming he has no songs fans can sing along to on stage, questioning his wealth and even alleging the car he drives belongs to his sister.
Now in South Africa, IKK has kept the trolling alive online and Toast has not kept quiet. The rapper fired back with a series of Facebook posts, calling IKK untalented and claiming IKK only got famous by pulling off his panties in live Facebook videos, not through real music.
Toast also took shots at IKK’s social media lifestyle, saying constant bragging about money while mocking others only makes fans question whether the cash is real.
Fans, however, are watching the drama like a live reality show. Many are joking that the artists are turning Facebook and podcasts into a boxing ring, while urging them to take the fight to the studio and drop diss tracks instead of status updates.
The playful rivalry even stretched to hometown pride, with Toast proudly saying he grew up in Bangwe Ghetto not Nyambadwe as IKK who was just a kid knowing nothing about real life.
