Monkey Bay Woman on the Run After Allegedly Pouring Boiling Water on Husband

A woman in Monkey Bay, Alaike Mailosi, is on the run after allegedly pouring boiling water on her husband following a domestic dispute.
The couple, who reside in Nangoma Village in Nankumba, reportedly fell out after the husband, Saidi Joseph, discovered love messages on his wife’s phone indicating she was communicating with another man.
Following the discovery, Joseph became angry and temporarily left the house. He returned home on February 10 but refused to sleep in the same bedroom with his wife, opting instead to sleep in the living room.
According to Monkey Bay Police spokesperson, Alice Sichali, the woman allegedly became upset during the night, heated water and poured it on her husband while he was asleep.
“As a result, the victim sustained burns to his chest and left arm,” said Sichali.
Police are currently searching for the suspect, who has since fled the area.
