Suspected Carjackers Steal Honda Freed After Assaulting Driver in Lilongwe

Police are investigating a suspected carjacking incident reported in Area 25 involving a taxi driver who was allegedly assaulted by passengers and robbed of his vehicle.
The suspects are said to have hired the taxi from Zebra Stage in Area 49, requesting to be transported to Area 25, Sector 4. During the journey, the individuals reportedly attacked the driver, seriously injuring him before stealing the vehicle.
The stolen car is a Honda Freed bearing registration number KK 819.
The victim was left with serious injuries, though his current medical condition has not yet been confirmed.
Members of the public have been urged to stay alert and promptly report any sightings of the vehicle or suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies.
