Mighty Wanderers FC have sent midfielder Wisdom Mpinganjira on a 10 month loan to Mozambican outfit Associacao Black Bulls, but the decision has triggered sharp criticism from supporters.
The 23 year old will play in the Moçambola League from March 1 to December 31, 2026, after both clubs agreed on financial terms described by Wanderers board member David Kanyenda as satisfactory to all parties.
While the club views the move as an opportunity for the player to gain exposure and experience abroad, many Wanderers fans see it differently.
Supporters have flooded social media with criticism, questioning the timing and logic behind the loan. Some argue that Mpinganjira is one of the most technically gifted midfielders in the squad and should have been central to the team’s plans rather than being sent out temporarily.
Others feel that if the club was willing to let him go, it should have secured a permanent transfer deal that brings significant financial benefit instead of what they describe as a short term solution.
A number of fans have also expressed concern that the move could weaken the team’s midfield depth ahead of demanding fixtures, insisting that the club should focus on strengthening the squad rather than releasing key players.
As debate continues online, the pressure is now on Wanderers management to justify the decision and on Mpinganjira to prove the loan move was the right step for his career.
