Unidentified Woman Killed in Road Accident in Ntchisi

An unidentified woman has died in Ntchisi District after being hit by a Toyota Sienta driven by 32-year-old Petrol Madzulo.
The district’s deputy police spokesperson, Tadala Makiyi, said the deceased was struck on Tuesday while crossing the road at Ntchale Trading Centre. She died while receiving medical treatment at Ntchisi District Hospital due to severe head injuries.
Police at Mponela arrested the driver as he attempted to flee the scene.
Meanwhile, a search operation is underway to trace the deceased’s relatives.
