Boyfriend commits suicide after break up with girlfriend in Machinga

A 33-year-old man, Feston George, has died in Machinga district after jumping off a moving car because his girlfriend had broken up with him.

The police spokesperson in the district, Western Kansire said that George was in a relationship with a Form 4 student at a secondary school in the district.

He said the girl told her friend that the relationship had ended and she left, leaving for an unknown location after writing a suicide note.

Kansire said the deceased was later found riding a Mercedes Benz truck, which he jumped off and fell on the road at Chingale Turn off in the district, where he died on the spot from head injuries.

Feston George hails from Chilemele village, a major village in Phalombe.
