The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has failed to meet former Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Colleen Zamba, after she did not appear before the committee as expected.

Zamba was scheduled to testify as part of ongoing investigations into the purchase of Amaryllis Hotel by the Public Service Pension Trust Fund.

PAC chairperson Steve Baba Malondera told the committee that Zamba would not attend the session as she is reportedly not available.

Malondera said the committee has since engaged its legal team to ensure Zamba is compelled to appear before PAC.

The development came during proceedings involving former Chief of Staff Prince Kapondamgaga.

Meanwhile, the committee is currently holding closed-door (in-camera) discussions with officials from the Financial Intelligence Authority.
