THREE MEN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND THEFT IN LIWONDE

Police in Liwonde have arrested James Bwanali, 30, Sam Mtwana, 32, and Cassim Hassan Allid, 29, on suspicion that they broke into a building and stole assorted items.
The arrests followed a complaint lodged by Mary Mailosi, who reported that unknown criminals broke into her house and stole items including speakers, clothes, and amplifiers on February 28, 2026.
Liwonde Police have recovered some of the stolen items and investigations are ongoing to find the remaining items, with the suspects set to appear in court soon.
“The suspects will face charges of burglary and theft, and we urge the public to continue cooperating with the police to ensure justice is served,” said Sergeant Liznet Kathumba, Deputy Public Relations Officer, Liwonde Police Station.
