Phalombe Family Appeals for Help After House Fire Destroys Property

A family from Nansongole Village under Group Village Head Chinani and Senior Chief Chiwalo in Phalombe is appealing for assistance after their house was destroyed by fire.
The head of the family Chikomoni Tweya says the fire broke out suddenly during the early hours of May 17, 2026, while everyone was asleep.
According to relatives, all household property was reduced to ashes, with only family members managing to escape safely from the burning house.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
The affected family is currently being accommodated by relatives and relying on help from well-wishers for food and clothing.
The family is now appealing to individuals and organizations for any form of support as they try to rebuild their lives following the tragedy.
