Tunisia have appointed Hervé Renard as their new head coach following the dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi.
The Tunisian Football Federation acted quickly after Tunisia’s heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden, turning to one of Africa’s most accomplished coaches to lead the team.
Renard, who previously guided Zambia’s Chipolopolo and enjoyed success across the continent, has signed a contract that will keep him in charge until the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The French tactician is expected to begin work immediately, with his first day in charge set for this evening.
Discussions over a longer-term agreement are scheduled to take place after the tournament.
