Commentators on social media have hailed the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) for turning down the country’s Vice President, Khumbo Kachali’s request that he joins them.
According to the commentators, the decision by MCP indicated that the party does not want to be associated with such undecided politicians as Kachali.
Kachali yesterday indicated that he had consulted with the other parties but had found that they were not worth it except the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
It has been indicated that the MCP told off Kachali owing to his association with the PP and the Cashgate scandal. Some quarters indicated that Kachali had made outrageous demands to the party and it is the reason why the party turned down his offer.
