MEC POSTPONE ELECTIONS IN MZIMBA

Malawi  Electoral Commission (MEC) has postponed elections for  Councillors in Mbalachanda Mzimba due to stray ballot papers.

According one of the MEC officials in the district, ballot papers meant for Mbalachanda in Mzimba have been found in Mchesi in Lilongwe while Mbalachanda is having ballot papers from Ntcheu.

The development has forced MEC to postpone the elections to a later date.

Meanwhile voters are now only voting for President and Member of Parliament.
