MEC ASSURES NDIRANDE RESIDENTS THAT THEY WILL VOTE TODAY

MEC Chairperson Maxon Mbendera has assured people of Ndirande that they will cast their votes by the close of business today.

Mbendera’s assurance comes amid reports that residents of this township have been demoralized by some delays in supplying the voting materials by the electoral fathers.

This has led to violence in many parts of the township which eventually led to the closure of the polling centers.

The hype has been down in ndirande until 4pm as all centers were closed with no sign of reopening.

However a thread of hope was given when Mbendera reassured that everything is being worked out in favor of the right to vote of these affected citizens.

Meanwhile, though the top boss of MEC made these promising remarks, it is not guaranteeing the normal turn up of the voters in such areas as their security has not been granted, considering that they will have to walk in at least 10 or 11 pm.
