Malawi court clears release of election results

High Court says MEC can recount the votes but should not go beyond the 8 statutory days. Effectively MEC will announce results tonight. Focus now on tally centre asMec chairman Maxon Mbendela takes stage .
“The law is clear, there is no extension,” said high court judge Kenyatta Nyirenda.
