EU AMBASSADOR WARN MUTHARIKA TO DESIST FROM REPEATING HIS LATE BROTHER’S MISTAKES

The outgoing  European  Union  Ambassador to Malawi Alexander Baum has urged President Professor Author Peter Mutharika to desist from committing the same mistake committed by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in the past two years under his late brother Professor Bingu Wa Mutharika.

He said this Yesterday in Lilongwe during a farewell dinner.

In his Speech, Baum said Poor governance and  disrespect of rights of Citizen makes the country such as Malawi not to move forward in terms of development.

The outgoing Ambassador also urged Malawians to work hard in developing the country.

Speaking on behalf of the President, Minister of Finance Goodall Gondwe thanked the outgoing Ambassador for encouraging mutual relationship between Malawi and other countries under the EU.

Meanwhile Baum is now heading for Botswana where he will represent EU as Ambassador.
