MEDICAL INTERNS AT KCH STAGE A SIT-IN

About 22 Medical interns at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe on Thursday staged a sit-in over their unpaid allowances and poor working conditions.

Speaking in an interview with one of the local media house in country [ZBS], one of the Interns who opted for anonymity said they had expressed their concerns to the management for more than two weeks now but they got no response.

“Actually it’s not a big issue, we have unpaid allowances and as you know, the cost of living has gone up and we can’t hold our patience to struggle while we know we are supposed to get duly allowances“ he claimed.

One of the senior official who also opted for anonymity at KCH confirmed of the development but he denied to give his comment on the matter.

The angry interns are from Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN) in Lilongwe.
