Former Non-Governmental Organizations (CONGOMA) board Chair Voice Mhone has being appointed as Chief Executive Officer for NGO board by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
This has been confirmed in a statement released and signed by NGO board chair Emily Banda made available to FaceofMalawi.
According to the statement, the appointment of Mhone is in line with NGO Law section 5 subsections 19 (1) when it is said that the board shall appoint the Registrar who will be known as its Chief Executive Officer.
Mhone will be the first NGO board CEO since the organization was formed.
