POLICE OFFICER SHOT DEAD BY ARMED THUGS IN LIMBE: MK6 MILLION CASH STOLEN

A Police officer has been shot dead and another one has been seriously injured by armed thugs in Limbe, Blantyre.

The armed criminals also went away with money amounting to MK6 million belonging to OG Plastic Industries..

National Police Spokesperson Rhoda Manjolo confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press and identified the deceased as Sub Inspector Mabutao and the survivor as Constable Phiri.

According to Manjolo, the two Police officer mate their fate on Saturday as they were escorting an OG Plastic vehicle carrying money amounting to MK6 million.

Manjolo said the officers also shot dead one of the criminals and another one was also seriously injured.

The criminals were using a Nissan Tilda KK4305 gold in colour with arms.

Meanwhile Constable Phiri and one of the criminals identified as Muhammad Sami are admitted at Blantyre Adventist Hospital.
