MBS suspends operations of Lingadzi Inn, Capital City Motel, Seven Eleven bakery

Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has with immediate effect suspended operations of Lingadzi Inn, Capital City Motel and Seven Eleven bakery situated in Kilipula building in Lilongwe.

The development comes barely days after MBS also closed down Cafe Lounge situated at Chichiri Shopping Mall in the commercial capital Blantyre.

According to the statement released on Friday, the three business entities have been closed down due to continuous non compliance to hygienic conditions as stipulated in Malawi Standard Number 21; Food And Food Processing Units – Code Of Hygienic Conditions.

“The MBS wishes to advise the general public against patronizing Lingadzi Inn, Capital City Motel and Seven Eleven until the hygienic conditions have been improved and the suspension lifted by the MBS,” reads in part the statement.

Meanwhile MBS continue to patronize various business premises in the country.
