Suspected thief burnt to death in Machinjiri

An angry mob in Machinjiri torched to death a suspected thief who broke into a house and demanded money from the owner of the house.

Police in Blantyre have confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

It is said that the suspected thief broke into the house of a certain man in the Township demanding cash while hold a screw driver in his hand.

According to the eyewitness, after resisting to the request, the suspected thief stabbed the owner of the house who in turn shouted for help and residents responded overwhelmingly.

After catching the thief, the angry mob torched the suspect to death.

Meanwhile Police are investigating the matter.
