Prime Insurance Limited has obtained a court injunction restraining the Reserve Bank of Malawi from taking over operations of the insurance company.
Prime Insurance chief executive officer Albert Mbawala says the injunction gives them relief to continue normal operations as they await a judicial review on the matter.
He says operations in all the company’s offices across the country should resume by Tuesday.
The central bank announced the takeover Friday after reports of inefficiencies at the insurance company.
