Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that notification letters for naked protest against albino killings in the country have been delivered to Police and Lilongwe City Council.
This has been disclosed in a short statement posted on official Facebook page of Human right activist Billy Mayaya seen by FaceofMalawi reporter.
The demonstrations will be held on June 23, 2016 in the capital Lilongwe and will be led by Bon Kalindo, Member of Parliament for Mulanje South.
Kalindo’s naked protest has attracted mixed reactions with others accusing him of dramatizing the issue, saying albino killings is a sensitive issue.
The MP wants the DPP government to effect death penalty to perpetrators of the malpractice.
