Death has been announced of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councillor for Sadzi Ward in Zomba Central Constituency Davison Namonde.
Namonde died in the early hours of Monday at Zomba Central Hospital.
Zomba City Council Chief Executive Officer Dyson Jangiya confirmed of the death in an interview with the press.
Jangiya said the body of Namonde will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Meanwhile DPP officials are yet to comment on the death.
