Kalindo resigns as DPP Deputy Spokesperson

Controversial Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Deputy Spokesperson Bon Kalindo who is also Member of Parliament for Mulanje South has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

The development comes barely two days after Kalindo popularly known as Winiko was summoned for disciplinary hearing for staging semi-naked demonstrations against albino killings in the country.

Speaking in an interview with the press, Kalindo said he has resigned from his position to concentrate on his personal business and activist role.

When questioned as to whether this will not affect his membership in the ruling DPP, Kalindo said he is still DPP since he is an MP.

Kalindo recently was chased away from the DPP rally that the Party organized in Mulanje-Limbuli for allegedly organizing the nude demonstrations.
