Baby found buried in bedroom in Ndirande

Police in the Township of Ndirande in the commercial capital Blantyre are hunting for woman who is allegedly to have buried a baby in her bedroom.

The remains of the baby was found on Monday in a makeshift grave which had been dug up in one of the bedrooms in a house.

According to information sourced by FaceofMalawi, the baby was discovered by a woman who was about to occupy the house.

The baby is believed to have been abandoned by Ameena Mazembere who had once inhabited the house.

The woman is said to have been pregnant during the course of last year but her pregnancy suddenly vanished.

Meanwhile the woman is at large.
