The case of Issa Njauju refuses to die and to be forgotten as the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) says it is concerned about the apparent delays and waning commitment among those involved in the investigations into what is seen as one of the country’s most high-profile murders.

At the dawn of July, 2015, Njauju was found dead in the capital Lilongwe after missing for two days and his body indicated some gunshots.

Njauju’s vehicle D4D was found burnt to ashes at Kauma in Lilongwe.

However, Information speculated on the social media by then indicated that Njauju was holding important information regarding to the MK92 billion plunder of public funds under reign of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)  with leadership of late President Professor Bingu wa Mutharika

Opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera ever hinted on this issue in November 2015, blaming government and necessary bodies for delays in investigating the matter.

It is now MHRC that have dug into long forgotten bones and asked proper investigation on the matter.
