One person is reported dead while others have sustained injuries following the road accident involving National Bus Service on Sunday afternoon at Chiweta.
Rumphi Public Relations Officer Victor Khamisi has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Khamisi, the bus was traveling from Blantyre to Karonga.
It is said that the bus driver was trying to avoid a minibus and in the process the bus overturned, killing one in the process.
Meanwhile the victims have been referred to being referred to Rumphi District Hospital and Mzuzu Central Hospital.
