Chakwera says Mutharika’s speech to journalists has no substantial

The president of main opposition party, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) DR Lazarus Chakwera has described Peter Mutharika’s address at the press conference on Friday at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe as it holds no water.

According to Chakwera, the speech made by Mutharika was full of obvious staff, nothing new; at least he would speak of persistent black-outs in the Country.

Chakwera also faulted Mutharika for blaming Malawians by finding their ways to report about his health and his delay in US as He was not speaking to Malawians while he was there.

“I think the problem is lacking a bill of access to information, once it can be implemented in Malawi, we couldn’t have problems like this.

“Several reports of Mutharika‘s health were made in such way as people were prevented from accessing information about his delay in US,” Chakwera said.
