Thirty-five year-old man, identified as Tiyanjane Kadango is in Police custody in Lilongwe for allegedly raping a 16 year-old mentally challenged girl in Kawale I.
The suspect, according to Lilongwe Police spokesperson, Kingsley Dandaula, has been raping the girl since January.
He impregnated the girl and gave birth to a baby boy.
Dandaula said the suspect will appear before the Court to answer charges of rape contrary to Section 138 of the Penal Code.
