Robbers invade Chakwera’s house in Lilongwe

Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that robbers on the wee hours of Wednesday invaded the house of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Chakwera confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the privately owned radio-Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

According to information at hand, armed robbers invaded Chakwera’s house in area 9 and fired gunshots in the air to scare the security guards and steal but the attempt did not yield any results.

The guards at the houses successfully chased away the armed thugs.

MCP’s Deputy Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka also confirmed of the development in an interview with press.

Mkaka said the Party is investigating the matter to find out the motive behind the robbery attack.

Meanwhile Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula has expressed ignorant on the robbery incident.
