Earth tremor damages 12 houses in Nsanje

Over 12 houses in Nsanje have been destroyed in the southern district of Nsanje following an earth tremor accompanied by heavy rains that happened on Monday.

The earth tremor happened in the area of Hapalikusala village in the area of Senior Chief Malemia.

Area Civil Protection Committee Chairperson Joseph Saopa Gama confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

According to Gama, the earth tremor happened at around 6 O’clock on Monday evening.

Gama says five of the affected houses have developed cracks.
