Wife arrested for pouring hot water at Husband’s secret lover

A 31-year-old woman is in police custody in Kasungu for allegedly pouring hot water on a woman suspected of sleeping with her man.

Deputy Public Relations Officer for the station Harry Namwaza confirmed of the development and identified the suspect as Elizabeth Banda.

According to Namwaza, Banda allegedly scalded Amina Chabe, aged 23 years, on January 5 at Kasalika after accusing her of hanging around with her husband.

Namwaza told the press that Banda went to Chabe’s house to confront her for being in an affair with her husband and in the process scalded her with hot water.

Banda will appear in court soon to answer charges of causing body harm.

Chabe is currently admitted at Kasungu District Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
