Wame’s murder suspect yet to be tried in court

Three months now have gone since the Police arrested murder suspect of late evangelist Shadreck Wame but the suspect is yet to tried in court, FaceofMalawi can reveal.

In November last year, police arrested 28-year-old Limbani Rabson Maliro who was hiding in Thyolo following Wame’s death in October.

Wame was gruesomely murdered by the said suspect in October at his house in Salima.

Speaking in an interview with press on Wednesday on the progress of the case, National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera, said the police are now ready with all the information which they will present in court.

“We have managed to gather all the evidence required for the charge of murder which we feel the suspect committed. The interrogations we have carried out give us confidence that the suspect has a case to answer. It is now up to the court to decide when we should appear before the court of law for the proceedings,” Kadadzera said.

Meanwhile it is not known as to when the suspect will be taken to court.
