The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has obtained an arrest warrant for opposition People’s Party (PP) Interim President Uladi Mussa for erroneously granting citizenship for over 50 foreigners when he was Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security.
It is said Mussa granted citizenship to illegal immigrants from Burundi, Rwanda and other countries.
On Wednesday, the ACB arrested former chief immigration officer Hudson Mankhwala on similar charges he has since been released on bail.
Mankhwala has been slapped with neglect of official duties for his alleged failure to scrutnise the granting of the citizenship to the foreigners between April 2013 and April 2013.
