Mutharika appoints Aggrey Masi MP as Deputy Minister of Agriculture

President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has appointed Hon. Aggrey Masi MP as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development.
This has been disclosed a statement from the Officer of the President and Cabinet (OPC) signed by Chief Secretary to the President Lloyd A. Muhara.
According to Muhara, the appointment of Masi is with immediate effect.
President Mutharika fired the then Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development Dr. George Chaponda over maize-gate scandal.
In his announcements, Mutharika said all matters relating to the Ministry of Agriculture should be referred to him.
