Stolen motor cycle worth MK1.5 million recovered in Salima

Police in Salima have recovered a stolen motor cycle worth K1.5 million belonging to Chipiliro Dickson, 32, of Makiyoni village Traditional Authority (TA) Mwanza in the district.

Salima police public relations officer Sub-Inspector, Gift Chitowe said, the suspect, Bikiyere Dilesi, 38, of Kaphatikiza village T/A Khombedza in Salima stole Tianda motor cycle registration number TO 7894 on 8th April.

“When he was in deep sleep the said suspect broke into his house and went away with the motor bike and some other items,” he said.

Chitowe said Dickson reported to police the following morning when he discovered that his motorcycle and other items had been stolen.

“He reported the issue to Salima Police who made all the efforts and managed to arrest the suspect and have the motor cycle recovered,” he said-mana
