Man arrested for illegal possession of medical drugs

Police in Chileka- Blantyre on Tuesday arrested Blessings Nsiku, 27, for being found with medical drugs illegally.
According to Chileka Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Grace Mwale told Mana Wednesday that the suspect is a Medical Assistant (MA) at Lilangwe Health Centre and was found with the drugs which were stolen from the centre.
“The suspect was arrested at Lunzu Road Block when he was travelling to Zomba to sale the drugs. After questioning him, he admitted that the drugs were going to Chinamwali Private Hospital to be sold,” she said.
According to Mwale, investigations are underway to discover the main source of the drug curtail.
Nsiku comes from Angilesi Village in Traditional Authority (TA) Lundu in Chikwawa.
