Fire has razed down a district council building in Balaka this morning, destroying property worth millions of kwacha.
Balaka District Council spokesperson Roderick Mateauma confirmed of the development in an interview with faceofmalawi reporter.
According to Mateauma, the council failed to contain the fail because of lack of equipment such as fire engine and others.
He said the most affected office is the social welfare office and the council’s chamber.
