Signs Your Partner is About to Break Up With You

Breakups are a regular part of dating– sad, but true. It’s not every person you date that you’ll end up with, some relationships are only meant to enlighten and make you a better person.

That notwithstanding, breakups are very awful, and can be devastating, no matter the conditions.

There’s no such thing as a ‘good breakup’, and oftentimes, after it happens, people are left imagining what could have been. “Could I have avoided this from happening?” are among the questions that throb the mind in most cases. Of course, it doesn’t take away the pain entirely even if you knew it would happen, but it mitigates it.

If you know your relationship is nearing its ‘breaking point’, you could seek ways to make amends if possible, or prepare yourself for the worst. It’s better than being taken unawares.

So yeah, this post is meant to inform and enlighten you on the things to watch out for the moment your relationship hits rocky waters, and your partner is on the verge of leaving.

REDUCED ATTENTION

The one sure sign of love and affection is the willingness to be there at all times for the one you want. You can spend all day with them and not get bored, you feel more at home with them than with anybody else, and for that, you’d rather be with them than elsewhere. However, the opposite is the case when you become disillusioned with the relationship.

You start hanging out with your friends more, you start keeping late nights, just to stay away from them. If this sounds like your partner, something’s not right.

SUDDENLY, THERE’S NO COMMUNICATION

The same person who called you every hour doesn’t call in days.

The same one who would talk to you in bed, and go to sleep together now watches TV instead or would rather sleep because they’re ‘too tired’.

It’s a bad sign, and you have to be mindful of it.

CONSTANT FIGHTS

Arguments and fights are normal in relationships. They’re sometimes for the best even, because the relationship tends to end up stronger for it eventually in most cases.

It’s not always the case though, and things can get messy from there too, especially if it becomes too recurring, and is triggered by nothing reasonable.

Not everyone you date is your soul mate. If things don’t work out with one person, perhaps it’s a sign that there’s someone better out there for you. Don’t let a breakup weigh you down.
