Netflix is defending its new four-part documentary about Sean “Diddy” Combs, produced by rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, after the jailed music mogul’s team accused the project of using private recordings without permission.

Combs’ spokesperson blasted the documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, calling it “a shameful hit piece” that relies on “stolen footage,” including conversations between Combs and his lawyers filmed just days before his September 2024 arrest. The spokesperson said the recordings were part of Combs’ personal archive collected over decades and were “never authorised for release.”

Netflix rejected the accusations, saying all footage was “legally obtained” and that Jackson, despite being an executive producer, does not have creative control. “This is not a hit piece or an act of retribution,” the company said.

The documentary opens with Combs on the phone with attorney Marc Agnifilo, telling him he wants to “fight for my life,” and pushing for a more aggressive media strategy. Another scene shows Combs speaking to his son Justin, saying the situation around him had become “ridiculous.”

Combs’ team also criticised Netflix for involving Jackson, calling him a “longtime adversary” with “a personal vendetta.”

The documentary revisits longstanding allegations surrounding Combs’ career and personal life, including claims linking him to the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur claims he has always denied. It also features allegations of violence and abuse previously raised in lawsuits, including accusations by former girlfriend Cassie, which were settled.

Combs, who was convicted in July on two prostitution-related charges but acquitted of sex-trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence and plans to appeal.

The documentary is now streaming on Netflix.

American actor, musician and comedian Donald Glover popularly known as Childish Gambino, has revealed that a stroke and a series of serious health complications were the real reason behind the abrupt cancellation of his New World Tour.

Speaking during his set at the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival on Saturday, Glover told fans that his health deteriorated rapidly while he was on the road last year.

“I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway,” he said. “I couldn’t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital, and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.’”

He joked that the diagnosis made him feel as though he was “copying Jamie Foxx,” referencing the actor’s own recent health scare.

Glover also revealed that doctors later discovered a hole in his heart, which required two separate surgeries. The health issues were compounded by a broken foot he suffered during the same period.

At the time of the tour cancellation, Glover had only stated that he required surgery and time to recover, leaving fans uncertain about the severity of the situation. His latest comments mark the first full explanation of what had happened.

American-Senegalese artist Akon was briefly jailed in Georgia last week after being arrested on a bench warrant issued for his failure to appear in court over a suspended driver’s license, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

Police reports indicate the case began in September 2025, when officers on patrol discovered a Tesla Cybertruck stranded in the middle of a Georgia road. Akon, who was behind the wheel, reportedly told officers that the vehicle’s battery had died.

While assisting with the tow, officers discovered that Akon’s driver’s license had been suspended following a failure to appear citation from January 2023. He was subsequently cited for driving with a suspended license and released at the scene.

The report also mentions that police seized an illegal vape found in the vehicle’s center console, which was later submitted for destruction.

On November 7, the 51-year-old singer whose real name is Aliaune Thiam, was arrested by the Chamblee Police Department on the outstanding warrant and booked into DeKalb County Jail. He was released about six hours later.

After a decade together, celebrity couple Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have officially called it quits  reportedly after Sean refused to marry her.

Renowned hip-hop producer Metro Boomin has gone on trial in California over allegations that he sexually assaulted Vanessa LeMaistre in 2016. The civil case opened Tuesday (Sept. 23) at the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building and United States Courthouse in Los Angeles.

LeMaistre, who filed her lawsuit last year, testified that she decided to pursue justice after a therapy session in Peru, where she consumed the psychedelic plant Ayahuasca.

“I recall being instructed from the medicine that this is the root of your issues for the past 10 years, this incident with the defendant,” she told the jury. “This is the root of continual trauma and pain and suffering, and that I needed to address this, seek justice and contact lawyers.”

According to LeMaistre, Metro Boomin allegedly gave her half a Xanax pill and a shot of liquor before having sex with her in a Las Vegas hotel room while she was unconscious. “I didn’t know consent means when someone says no or they’re not able to consent, that that still is rape,” she said in court.

Metro Boomin’s attorney, Lawrence Hinkle, dismissed the claims, characterizing the lawsuit as financially motivated. “We are here because she thought my client could solve her financial problems,” Hinkle argued. “And so she made a claim that he sexually assaulted her, expecting that he would just write a check to make it all go away quickly and quietly.”

Hinkle said UCLA psychology chief April Thames is expected to testify that LeMaistre meets diagnostic criteria for borderline personality disorder with psychotic features, major depressive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder  but that there is “no credible evidence” linking her current psychological state to the alleged assault.

Metro Boomin is also expected to testify during the trial, which is anticipated to conclude on Friday, Sept. 26.

American rapper Cardi B has announced that she is expecting her fourth child, her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots.

Popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has been released on bail after being detained for questioning by Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in connection with the purchase of his luxury vehicle, a yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus.

The musician was granted bail after paying a substantial sum of $454,000. His arrest was part of an ongoing investigation into the vehicle’s origins, which has international connections.

US rapper Lil Nas X is facing legal trouble after a chaotic early-morning incident in Los Angeles that ended with his arrest for battery on a peace officer and his hospitalization.

According to TMZ Hip Hop, the Old Town Road star was spotted around 4 AM Thursday walking down Ventura Boulevard in Studio City wearing only his underwear and cowboy boots. At one point, he placed an orange traffic cone on his head while muttering to bystanders about “heading to a party.” A passing driver recorded the bizarre scene, which quickly went viral online.

Several residents in the area also reported seeing a nude man wandering in the middle of the street, prompting calls to the LAPD. When officers responded, they found Lil Nas X still in the road. Renowned South African actor Presley Chweneyagae has passed away at the age of 40.

Close friends confirmed that the celebrated actor died in the early hours of  today on 27 May 2025.

Chweneyagae rose to international fame for his breakout role in the Oscar-winning film Tsotsi, which earned global acclaim and introduced him as one of South Africa’s most talented actors.

He went on to win his first Golden Horn at the inaugural South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) in 2006.

American Rapper Kid Cudi is expected to take the stand this week in the ongoing sex crimes trial against embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, where he will testify about an alleged car bombing incident from 2012, reportedly linked to Diddy’s jealousy over Cudi’s brief relationship with singer Cassie Ventura.

According to CNN, prosecutor Maurene Comey confirmed that Kid Cudi will provide testimony about the incident involving his Porsche, which was set ablaze and exploded in his driveway in Los Angeles in 2012. The testimony comes on the heels of explosive allegations made by Cassie in her 2023 rape lawsuit against Diddy, which stated that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder vowed to blow up Kid Cudi’s car.

“Mr. Combs told Ms. Ventura that he was going to blow up Kid Cudi’s car and that he wanted to ensure that Kid Cudi was home with his friends when it happened,” the lawsuit stated.

Cassie told the court last week that Diddy allegedly made the threat after discovering she was dating Kid Cudi in 2011. She claimed the mogul became “irate,” and shortly afterward, Cudi’s Porsche exploded in his driveway.

Following the lawsuit, Kid Cudi confirmed the allegation in a statement to The New York Times, saying, “This is all true.”

The car bombing was also backed by a Los Angeles Fire Department arson report, which stated that the fire was caused by an incendiary device, resulting in approximately $10,000 in damages.

American sensational artist Chris Brown was arrested in the early hours of today at a luxury hotel in Manchester, in connection with an alleged bottle attack that took place at a London nightclub in February 2023.

The 36-year-old musician was taken into custody by Metropolitan Police detectives at The Lowry Hotel just after 2 a.m. He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) to music producer Abe Diaw during an incident at Tape nightclub, a popular venue in Hanover Square, Mayfair, Central London.

The alleged assault reportedly occurred around 3 a.m. on 19 February 2023, when Mr. Diaw claims Brown launched an unprovoked attack, striking him with a bottle inside the upscale venue.

Brown had flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet yesterday afternoon ahead of planned engagements in the UK. Following a media inquiry by The Sun, the Metropolitan Police confirmed they were aware of Brown’s presence and dispatched detectives to Manchester, where the arrest was made.

As of now, it remains unclear whether charges have been formally filed. Authorities have not yet confirmed if Brown remains in custody or has been released on bail.

Neither Brown nor his representatives have issued a statement regarding the arrest.

The incident adds to a long list of legal issues for the Grammy-winning artist, who has previously faced multiple allegations and convictions involving violence.

 There was big chaos today at the court when famous actor Phwedo came for his case about a 15-year-old girl.

Many of his fans rushed into the small courtroom when he arrived. They made so much noise that the judge had to stop everything. The judge said everyone must leave so the court can work properly.

People who saw it said Phwedo looked serious and was wearing black suit, not his usual funny costumes. It took two hours before the court could start again because of the crowd.

The judge got angry and called for more police to keep order. Phwedo didn’t speak but greeted some fans quietly.

The case will continue another day when it’s more calm. Police say no one should disturb the court again.
