Ombudsman Office Commits in Improving Menstrual Hygiene of Women, Girls in Camps
The
office of the Ombudsman has managed to source sanitary kits to aid women and
girls in flood camps.
A
recent human rights monitoring visit to various camps in Chikwawa and Nsanje
districts revealed that women and girls lack menstruation pads.
The
situation is forcing them to spend their day at the river in a quest to improve
their menstrual hygiene.

South Africa sends extra donations to cyclone-hit Mozambique, Malawi
South African security forces and health services on Tuesday sent
material relief to its neighbours hit by the devastating cyclone that
ravaged parts of southern Africa in March 2019.

UNHCR Flies Relief Items to Help Floods Victims in Malawi
UNHCR,
the United Nations refugee agency has airlifted into Malawi relief items to
support 10,000 people who were affected by heavy rains in different parts of
the country.
The
relief items landed in the country on Saturday, March 30 by an Aircraft 87MT
cargo through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA). Minister of Homeland Security
Nicholas Dausi received the items.
