A 26-year-old former marketing executive was arrested in India for k!lling his girlfriend’s 7-year-old daughter because she was becoming a “disturbance” to his private time with her mother.

According to Times of India, the accused, Darshan Kumar Yadav, was arrested by police in Kumbalagudu, Bengaluru on Monday evening, October 27, 2025.

The victim is Siri S, a class 2 student at a govt school in Ramasandra village near Kengeri and daughter of Shilpa S K.

The accused was absconding before his arrest near Tumakuru Road.

According to police, Darshan, who earlier worked for a paints company, was in a relationship with Shilpa, a business development officer at a private firm.

Shilpa, separated from her husband Balaji, lived with Siri and her foster mother.

After the foster mother’s d3ath in August, Darshan began pressuring Shilpa to admit Siri to a hostel, claiming she was interrupting their intimacy.

When Shilpa refused, Darshan frequently fought with her, assaulted her, and even threatened to k!ll both mother and child.

Shilpa, hearing her daughter cry over the phone, rushed home around 6.30pm, only to be assaulted and locked in a room by Darshan.

She managed to break free, only to discover Siri lying motionless in a pool of blood.

Investigations revealed Darshan had repeatedly slammed the child’s head on the floor and then smothered her to d3ath.

According to Darshan’s confession, he was married to Shilpa, but she claims to be his girlfriend in her complaint.

Police said Darshan had a history of befriending multiple women on Instagram and getting involved in abusive relationships.

A 40-year-old man from Hapur, India, shocked medical staff at Devnandani Hospital after scans revealed dozens of foreign objects, including spoons, toothbrushes, and pens, inside his abdomen.

He was admitted on September 17 with complaints of severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and weakness, prompting doctors to perform ultrasound, X-ray, and CT scans.

To their astonishment, the imaging showed numerous metallic and plastic objects lodged in his stomach, making it one of the most unusual cases the medical team had encountered.

A surgical team led by Dr. Shyam Kumar performed a five-hour-long operation during which they removed 50 objects, including 29 steel spoons, 19 toothbrushes, and two pens.

Remarkably, the man had broken off the heads of both the toothbrushes and spoons before swallowing them, which added complexity to the surgical procedure.

The patient later confessed that he had intentionally ingested the items while staying at a de-addiction centre in Ghaziabad, as a form of protest against being left there.

He admitted to secretly picking up the objects and swallowing them in the washroom, driven by emotional distress and frustration.

Doctors believe the man may be suffering from pica disorder, a rare psychiatric condition where individuals compulsively consume non-food items, sometimes due to stress or mental health issues.

Although pica is more frequently observed in children, experts note that adults under psychological distress or battling addiction may also develop this compulsive behavior.

Following the surgery, the patient is currently under close medical and psychiatric observation, with doctors emphasizing the need for ongoing mental health support to prevent recurrence.

A man k!lled his wife and her lover on Tuesday night, September 9, in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi district, India.

Police said Kolanji, aged 48, a woodcutter, suspected his wife Lakshmi, aged 37, of having an affair with Thangarasu, so he set a trap for them by sayibg he was going out.

After pretending to be away from home, Kolanji returned and found the two together on the terrace. He attacked them with a sickle, k!lled them, and severed their heads.

He then tied the heads to his two-wheeler and rode to Vellore Central Jail, where he surrendered to police.

Vanjaram police recovered the headless bodies from the house and arrested him.  Visuals from the scene showed the headless bodies lying in a pool of blood.

Villagers gathered near the house when police arrived, and Vanjaram police recovered the bodies.

The couple’s three daughters have been left in the care of relatives as Kolanji remains in judicial custody.

A 27-year-old man, Samala Mahender Reddy, allegedly murdered his five-months pregnant wife, Swathi, on August 23, 2025, in Boduppal, Telangana.

The couple, who had an inter-caste love marriage in January 2024, reportedly faced ongoing marital issues, including allegations of dowry harassment.

Swathi had filed a formal complaint in April 2024, which led to a police case under Section 498A of the IPC and the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Police investigations revealed the murder was premeditated, with Mahender purchasing a hacksaw in advance and hiding it in their home.

On the day of the incident, he allegedly strangled Swathi, dismembered her body, and disposed of the remains in the Musi River over several hours.

After the crime, Mahender attempted to mislead family and authorities by sending a text from Swathi’s phone and later reporting her missing.

His inconsistent statements led to police interrogation, during which he confessed to the crime; only Swathi’s torso was recovered due to river conditions.

India – A woman who donated part of her liver to her husband died just days after he passed away following a transplant surgery at a private hospital in Pune.

The Maharashtra health department has issued a notice to Sahyadri Hospital, seeking details of the transplant procedure.

“We have issued a notice to the hospital and sought details of the recipient and the donor, their video recordings, and the line of treatment,” said Dr. Nagnath Yempalle, Deputy Director of Health Services.

The hospital has been asked to submit all requested information by 10 a.m. on Monday, August 25.

The surgeries for Bapu Komkar and his wife Kamini were conducted on August 15; he died on August 17, and she passed away on August 21 after developing an infection.

The Komkar family has alleged medical negligence and demanded an investigation into the deaths.

In a statement, the hospital said, “We are fully cooperating in the investigation… and providing all necessary information.”

“The recipient was a high-risk person with many complications,” the hospital added, noting that the family was fully informed of the risks.

On Kamini’s death, the hospital stated, “She initially recovered well, but later developed septic shock and multi-organ dysfunction.”

A 21-year-old woman named Shraddha Das sustained severe burn injuries after an acid attack by her former friend in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on the night of June 29, 2025.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in Awadhpuri Colony under the Gaurighat police station. According to authorities, 22-year-old Ishita Sahu called Shraddha outside her home and, after a brief exchange, allegedly threw acid on her before fleeing the scene.

Shraddha was rushed to a private hospital with 50% burn injuries and is currently in stable condition.

Police believe jealousy was the motive behind the attack, as the two women, once close friends, had not been in contact for months.

Investigators say Shraddha had blocked Ishita’s number two months prior, cutting off communication. Ishita has been arrested and is being interrogated, while police search for her absconding parents.

A 32-year-old unemployed married man, Sachin Rajput, has been arrested for strangling his girlfriend, Ritika Sen, 29, in Bhopal’s Gayatri Nagar after accusing her of having an affair with her boss.

The murder occurred on the night of June 27, 2025, after a heated argument between the couple, who had been in a live-in relationship for over three years.

Consumed by jealousy and rage, Sachin killed Ritika, then wrapped her body in a blanket and continued to sleep beside it for two nights while drinking heavily.

“In a drunken state, he told his friend what he had done. When the friend realised it wasn’t a joke, he informed the police,” said police station in-charge Shilpa Kaurav.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Ritika’s decomposing body on the bed, just as Sachin had described.

“The woman is identified as Ritika Sen. She was living with her boyfriend, Sachin Rajput, who is married and has two children,” Kaurav added.

Sachin has been taken into custody, a murder case has been registered, and the post-mortem report is awaited as investigations continue.

At least 290 people were killed when a passenger plane crashed shortly after takeoff at an airport in Ahmedabad, India, according to health officials.

The Air India flight, bound for London with 242 people on board, struck a hostel for medical doctors during the crash.

Of those aboard, 241 passengers died, with only one survivor, a British national seated next to an emergency exit. The crash also claimed lives on the ground, including residents of the hostel.

Authorities have so far recovered at least 269 bodies, though the final toll may be higher. Police confirmed the deceased include former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani.

One student at the hostel survived by jumping from the second floor, sustaining injuries. The lone survivor from the plane, Ramesh Viswashkumar, described waking up surrounded by bodies and fleeing the wreckage.

Ramesh, who was visiting family in India and returning home to London where he lives with his wife and child, described the horrific experience from his hospital bed. “Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. “When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me. Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital,” he recounted.
