The Hindu Community in Blantyre under the umbrella of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) on Saturday, June 28, 2025 held a religious parade in Blantyre to celebrate this year’s Jagannath Rath Yatr.

Jagannath Rath Yatr means the festival of Chariot where the Hindu Community pull the chariot of the Lord in the streets.

The parade which lasted for three hours started from Old Town Hall to the Shree Hindu Temple near Mount Soche Hotel.

Throughout the parade members of the society danced to different songs while pulling the chariot.

As this was not enough, some members of the Society shared food with people from all religious grouping found in the street.

Speaking to the press after the parade one of the ISCKON members Virabhadra Das said God is merciful to everyone hence the parade.

“You know people are so engrossed with material life that they forgot to go to church, mosque or the temple. God is very merciful and he wants his children to come back to his home so he comes out to the streets to save the people.
“By just getting the glance of the Lord it’s all merciful,” said Das.

One woman, Jhanavi Davi said she was excited to attend the festival saying it has given her an opportunity to renew her faith.

Jagannath Rath Yatr festival started from India years ago and it has spread across the world and the festival is celebrated annually.

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members about, “Commitment To Completeness Through His Covenant” at a recent Sunday Worship Service.

According to him, “Paul have been told that he would go to Caesar since he requested for it and forty people bounded themselves to an oath that they will not eat nor drink until they have killed Paul. So Paul went to Rome to see Caesar.

As they go the the sea, there was storm and they were casting all their properties into the Sea to lighten it.”

He then said that most people will not sleep in that condition because the storm is too much.

They would be thinking about different negatives which would affect their dream.

They will be seeing evil spirits and the messenger of death in their dream.

They will be seeing dead people calling them because of what they are thinking about.

He further said that thoughts produce your dream many times. So you have to ensure that you see and think about positive things especially things that God is doing in your life.

Don’t allow negative thoughts and evil imaginations to give you bad dreams. God has a great plan for you.

Finally, In any situation in life, you will see something. So what do you see?

Do you see the God that cannot fail or the Goliath of your problem? If you see God, then you have seen well.

When you see the enemies or the negative in your situation, and you begin to murmur like the Israelites, that is terrible. But when you see the God that divided the Red Sea and brought water out of the Rock, impossibilities will be possible in your life in Jesus Name.

And there will be fulfilment in your life in Jesus Name.

A South African based Zambian man of God has come up with what he calls a solution to cheating by men.

In his sermon Prophet A. S Davids said the only way men can stop cheating on the wives is if they can be allowed to have two wives.

He then urged men to consider marrying two or more wives.

According to the self-acclaimed man of God, if men can be allowed to marry one or more wives, infidelity can be avoided.

He continued that any man who can afford to take care of more than one wife, he should be allowed to do so.

But he was quick to say that, he must first seek consent of his first wife.

He then stressed that this is for men who cannot stand temptations and have the money to afford polygamy.

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God spoke to his audience on The King Of Glory at Holy Ghost Convention 2022, Evening Session Day One; Opening Rally, The Sword Of The Spirit Ministries.

While talking about the different attributes of our Lord Jesus Christ, he said that in the Air, there is no Air Marshal like Him. He said that He was the first one to throw bombs and read the book of Joshua 10: 11 which says, “As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the Lord hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.”

He then said that when some enemies decided to fight against Joshua, the Bible says God just began to drop some bombs on the enemies. So at the end of the day, the Bible says those who were killed by the bombs that God threw were more than the ones that Joshua killed with the sword. He then said, “It reminds me of a little testimony of a man and his wife that came to the Church. And after some time we didn’t see them in the Church so we decided to do a follow-up. And the woman said, since I started coming to your Church I could no longer fly at night.”

A pastor’s wife from a local church in the village tearfully narrated how she busts her husband in bed with another woman who happens to be a choir lady.

The accused preacher said he stopped what he was doing and immediately rushed to the woman’s home to pray for her as he was even planning to go on evangelism that day.

The co-founder of the South African Satanic Church recently RESIGNED after Christians demonstrated unconditional love for him.

Riaan Swiegelaar, the co-founder of the South African Satanic Church (SASC), resigned from his position as presiding priest of the controversial church on 30 May 2022.

Riaan also resigned from the church council, as well as dissolved his membership with the organization.

In a lengthy live Facebook video, Riaan explained how he made the decision.

VICI Wadim, the Mozambique youth pastor who was in 2017 heavily criticized by some Zambians for trying to justify her skimpy dressing says she will be in Lusaka this July to launch a ministry exclusively for prostitutes.

In July of 2017, Pastor Wadim who is also a singer and beautician was in Zambia on a Charity tour to some communities in the outskirts of Lusaka.

She was among several pastors and charity workers brought into the country by Christian Aid, an international Christian organization.

But she also received a serious backlash from Zambian Christians over her provocative dressing which she justified saying God was more interested in the state of her heart and not what she was wearing.

She went on to say that Africans should be the last people to talk about short dresses.

“You see, not too long ago, our fore fathers used to walk around nearly naked. No one raised an issue with that. But today, even when I am fully clothed the way I am, I hear people say ‘you are tempting people.’ That is not my problem. The only reason those people feel tempted when they see me dressed this way is because they have corrupt minds. And it is that corrupt mind which we need to work on as pastors,” she told The Church Newspaper.

On Monday, she emailed this newspaper and announced that she will be in Zambia next month to finalise the setting up of a ministry for prostitutes.

It is not clear if the Immigration department will allow her to enter the country again.

Controversial Nigerian man of God, Andrew Ejimadu, alias Prophet Seer1 says God uses colored or light skin men with skin lips to punish ladies of their atrocities.

A Nigerian man of God pastor E.A. Adeboye the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God has dropped a prophesy giving hope to his followers.

In the video posted on his Facebook page, the man of God prophesied that people who call him Daddy will not die before their time.

He further added that God has already cleared their debt in a manner that they will not understand.

“In the name that is above every other name, none of you who call me Daddy will die before your time,” he said.

The man of God added; “You will start enjoying the abundant life Jesus promised believers this month, you will not fail anymore and you will not be defeated by the enemy,” Pastor Adeboye said.

His followers then took to social media claiming the blessings declared upon their lives by saying amen.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy has sparked controversy among Christians and other believers over remarks that masturbation is not a real sin.

During a Sunday service, Pastor Chris quoted a bible verse which backed his argument that one pleasing themselves using their hand they are not committing an actual sin.

According to Pastor Chris, there is no way one’s hand can cause someone to sin.

“So this means that the sin of adultery with your body is not an actual sin, but just a manifestation of what your heart desires. The real sin is in the heart. Your eyes cannot make you sin because you do not have a mind of your own. Evil thoughts are born from the heart.”

However, Pastor Chris’ explanation attracted mixed reactions while others accused him of misleading people.

Self acclaimed Ghanaian man of God Bishop Sam has made a shocking revelation regarding the death of leader and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua.

Speaking to his followers at his church on Sunday, the Bishop claimed that Prophet TB Joshua did not die a natural death but rather he was killed.
