Philadelphia descended into chaos overnight as more than 200 vehicles and crowds wreaked havoc across multiple locations, engaging in dangerous drifting stunts, setting off fireworks, starting trash fires, and vandalizing police property.

The mayhem spanned from 9:30 p.m. to 4:33 a.m., with police responding to incidents at various locations where the size of the crowds ranged from 50 to over 200 people.

During the violent disturbances, one police officer sustained injuries, and at least five police vehicles were damaged by the out-of-control crowds. Deputy Commissioner Mike Cram described the dangerous situation, noting that police officers were actively targeted.

“There were officers in the car, and they were jumping on the windshield, physically doing damage,” he stated.

Cram further emphasized the reckless behavior of the groups involved: “They don’t care about your safety, their own safety.

If you’ve all seen the videos of their behavior, they really don’t care. It’s just about how much chaos can we cause?”

Police are continuing to investigate the incidents, and authorities are expected to release further details about any arrests or potential charges related to the destruction. The community is urged to stay vigilant and report any information that may help in identifying those involved.

There is a place in the United Kingdom called Deadman’s Island that has corpses of criminals scattered all over it.

There are many scary stories about Deadman’s Island, and its history is extremely sad. It was used as a burial ground for lawbreakers who had died on ships more than two centuries ago, and their skeletons are still there…

More than 160,000 criminals were shipped to Australia from the British islands between 1788 and 1868, and this is a crucial part of the island’s history.

When the prisoners were transported to Australia many of them were in bad health and lost their lives. They were later buried on Deadman’s Island.

And those who had next to no chances of survival were separated from the rest and put in the lower decks of a prison hulk. As soon as they drew their last breath, they were put into a wooden case and stored at the bottom of the ship before they were laid to rest on Deadman’s Island.

But even though the bodies were buried deep underground, their remains have resurfaced.

One of the reasons for this is the island’s muddy ground, but the main reason is the rising sea levels and lower tides. As a result, there are now skeletons all over the place.

As can be seen in the footage at the end of the article, there are lots of body parts scattered around Deadman’s Island. Some people have suggested for the skeletons to be reburied, but due to the bones being weathered and scattered, this is not likely to happen.

The bones have worn off to such an extent that they may not remain intact if moved to another place.

Other parts are also fully decomposed in the mud. Also, it would be extremely difficult to identify who they once belonged to.

Although naturally many people have expressed interest in seeing the bones for themselves, visitations to the island have been restricted due to it being a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as a bird nesting and breeding area.

Jamie Lynn has broken her silence amid her sister Britney Spears’ conservatorship turmoil.

Last week, Britney Spears, 39, asked an LA judge to free her from conservatorship. During a virtual court meeting, Spears said: “I want my life back!” claiming that the regime she has been undergoing is “abusive” and has left her “traumatized.”

Following the hearing, Britney’s younger sister – Jamie Lynn, 30, has used social media to express her support for her sibling, FOX News reports.

On Monday, in a series of Instagram stories, Lynn said:

“I just want to take a second to address a few things. The only reason I hadn’t before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly that it wasn’t my place and it wasn’t the right thing to do. But now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feeI I need to say.

Since the day I was born, I’ve only loved adored and supported my sister. I mean this is my freaking big sister, before any of this bulls-. I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has done so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way.

This situation does not affect me either way, because I’m only her sister who’s only concerned about her happiness.”

Jamie Lynn asserted that she has been supporting her older sister long before the #FreeBritney online movement.

Clarifying that she is speaking for herself only and not for her family, Britney’s younger sister added:

“Maybe I didn’t support the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform but I can assure you that I support my sister long before there was a hashtag and I’ll support her long after.

I’m so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her many years ago – oh, not in a public platform but just in a personal conversation between two sisters.

Earlier in June, the family gathered together for the pool party, where a propane tank was used to power the grill. At one point, the leaking tank caught fire and left the child with severe burns, according to reports.

A GoFundMe page set up to raise funds for Isla’s recovery said:

“Isla ended up receiving the brunt of the ten-foot flames. Isla has second and third-degree burns covering 46 percent of her body. She was rushed to the hospital and then transferred to a Burn Unit Hospital in Phoenix Arizona.”

When Isla’s mom, Alyssa Cook, talked about the horrific incident, she said:

“Life can change fast.”

Isla’s dad, Justin said:

“It’s tragic, an absolute tragic situation, and watching my daughter go up in flames, it’s the hardest thing I ever had to do.”

Even though Isla’s recovery is in her beginning stages, her family hopes she will soon be the happy and energetic child she was prior to the accident.

After two surgeries, the child is still being monitored at the hospital and it might be a few more months before she is able to return to her loved ones.

“I want her out of pain,” the loving mother said. “We want her to make a full recovery and have her be the normal perfect child she is,” Isla’s father added.

Isla is the oldest of five kids and, according to her mother, she is incredibly helpful when it comes to caring for her 1-year-old twin siblings.

“She is always thinking of others and is often finding ways to do acts of service for her family and friends. She is so much fun and has a bold, playful personality,” the GoFundMe reads. “She loves to bake all kinds of yummy treats and loves to sing and play the piano.”

The family believes Isla’s training in gymnastics could help shorten her recovery time.

“She’s a fighter. We are really thankful she has been doing gymnastics for years to be strong and push through things,” Alyssa said.

Thankfully, Isla is getting better, according to an update shared on the GoFundMe page.

“They are hopeful all her skin will heal without the need of skin grafts. The doctor said that with this amount of burn coverage everything is going to be very painful, but Isla could be out of the hospital sooner than anticipated,” the update read.

Thus far, the campaign has raised more than $115,000 out of the $200,000 goal.

Katelyn Williams, who organized the fundraiser, said the family is extremely grateful for the donations and added:

“This was exactly what we’ve been collectively praying for. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for all of you.”

“SHAME!” An outraged crowd shamed a group of women who allegedly tried to stop a Black lesbian couple from kissing at a hotel pool.

After a group of white women saw a Black lesbian couple kissing beside a hotel pool, they tried to stop them, claiming there were children at the spot. As the crowd got outraged following the women’s burst of anger infused with homophobia, they gave them “the Cersei Lannister treatment.” As they were escorted by security, the rest of the people beside the pool began repeatedly chanting: “Shame! Shame! Shame!”

As Unilad reports, the incident occurred at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento, California.

Art Kaligos, who posted the video on Instagram, explains:

“This woman asked a female couple to stop kissing in a public pool because her kids were present. So we gave her the Cersei Lannister treatment while they were escorted out by security. SHAME!!”

Instead of being ashamed by their behavior, some of the women can be heard calling the people by the pool “f***ing losers” and “f***ing a**holes.”

Despite claiming there were children at the pool, the women began swearing and flipping the camera off to defend themselves.

Talking to Daily Dot, Kaligos claimed the lesbian couple had been “singled out” by the irate women. Apparently, they had called security to remove the Black women from the pool.

Dominique Veasley, one of the women targeted by the angry “Karens,” believes the incident wouldn’t have happened if she was straight. In an interview with CBS 13, she said:

“This is not okay anymore, it’s 2021… It would’ve been a beautiful moment for her to teach about love to her kids but instead, she decided to sexualize two women.”

Georgy Avakov, one of the onlookers at the incident commented:

“The white women specifically targeted [Veasley] and her friend, despite at least a dozen straighter, non-black couples and parents also in the pool and at the bar at the time, who were being just as affectionate. It is impossible not to be inspired by her courage, or disturbed by the unprovoked harassment she faced, all while just trying to enjoy a fun afternoon swim with a girlfriend at a hotel pool bar.”

Although she was deeply offended by the women’s homophobic behavior, Veasley said she “felt very supportive from the other people at the pool.”

Furthermore, in an official statement, a spokesperson for the hotel said:

“The Sawyer does not condone discrimination or verbal assault of any kind. An unfortunate disagreement between guests occurred at our pool over the holiday weekend and the matter has since been resolved.”

Hampshire, United Kingdom: A man has recovered a recording of his dead mother’s voice, after finding a 23-year-old alarm clock she had bought him when he was young.

41-year-old Ed Morrish, who is originally from Leeds, re-discovered the item while he was doing some work in his garage and found the recording could still be played.

The recording is the only trace Ed has left of his mother Christine’s voice and it has allowed his two kids, aged 9 and 11, to hear their grandma speak for the first time.

Apparently, the family was sorting out things in the garage when they found the two-decade-old alarm clock.

In a Twitter post, Ed who works as an audio and comedy producer said the following:

“When I went to university in 1998, my mother gave me an alarm clock where you could record your own alarm, so I told her to record it.

I’ve just found it, and it still works. She died in 2006, and this is the only recording of her voice that I have.”

In the clock recording, Ed’s mother can be heard shouting, “Get up Edward”, as a way to get him out of bed.

Regarding the finding, Ed said:

“I wasn’t shocked, really; I knew what it was as soon as I dug into the box, so I was just happy it still worked.

Lovely to be reminded of her voice and I laughed of course, because it was such a ridiculous thing for her to record.”

After a clip of the clock started circling the web, its inventor, a man named Tom Lawton, even got in touch with Ed and said:

“Oh my! This is amazing Ed. This was my first invention, WakeYoo. I’m so moved to hear this and hope you are well.”

Ed said he used the clock while studying at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.

It has survived two years in central London, eight years in Harrow, and 10 years in his current home in Hampshire.

Ed said:

“Nothing scares you awake like your mum. I cannot imagine it lasted past moving in with my now-wife in 2004.”

He added:

A father disappointed his daughter after he skipped the bigger part of her wedding because he had chosen to go to his stepdaughter’s wedding instead.

The father, who goes by the Reddit handle OddRip2252, shared his experience on r/AITA, explaining that he did everything he could to be there for both of them. His stepdaughter sent out a save-the-date for her big day, and then his daughter did the same a week later.

The issue, however, is that they both coincided on the same weekend, with the stepdaughter’s wedding happening the day before the daughters. Also, both requested their father walk them down the aisle.

The weddings were a 13-drive-hour apart but the father thought he could make it for both. Unfortunately, he ended up getting lost and wasted a lot of time in traffic.

The saddened father eventually decided to ask Redditers whether they believe he was the ***hole” in the situation or not.

And, in no time, the story went viral, after which, the father decided to address some key issues.

“Yes, I didn’t know about dates until my stepdaughter announced hers,” he said. “My daughter was invited to stepdaughter’s wedding but obviously she couldn’t attend.”

“Now I am regretting not leaving earlier. But my close friend’s wife who helped plan my stepdaughter’s wedding told me it’s extremely rude for the father of the bride to leave early. It was a mistake listening to her,” the father explained.

Regarding the traffic situation, he said:

“I just didn’t expect to get lost and for traffic to be worse than normal.”

Some people asked why he didn’t consider hopping on a plane, since money did not seem to be a problem.

“A flight would’ve taken longer because of the drive to and from the airport,” the father explained.

Government says locals living in boarder areas with Mozambique are safe despite reports that lslamists in that neighbouring country are beheading children in Cabo Delgado province that is located some 300 kilometres away from Malawi’s Mangochi district.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Eisenhower Mkaka disclosed this in Lilongwe on Wednesday.

He said his ministry is in contact with Maputo to ensure that conflict that is in neighboring should   not affect Malawi.

Mkaka said government is monitoring the situation and will ensure that the citizens in Mangochi are well protected.

A Man aged 26 years old has been arrested in Balaka for theft.

Malawi Police in Balaka have arrested Madalitso Gama, the suspect mastermind of last month’s foiled attempted theft of an Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi [ESCOM] Transformer in the district. The suspect hails from Mchiwa village T/A Mabuka in Mulanje District and on 4 March 2021 is when he was arrested.

Balaka Police station Spokesperson, Felix Misomali confirmed the arrest of Gama ESCOM faults operator, who allegedly fled from the scene at Khwisa Trading Centre.

Meanwhile khwisa trading Centre residents had alerted the police after becoming suspicious with the actions of the suspects who had then, disconnected to transformer.  According to the reports by the police and ESCOM security personnel revealed that Gama allegedly hired a Toyota Dyna registration number MJ226, in Blantyre before travelling to khwisa to commit the crime.

Misomali urged members of the community to always verify identities of ESCOM employees and their actual motives when they see them tampering with ESCOM property. He also further said ‘’people can visit any nearest ESCOM office or police station to establish if such people are genuine ESCOM employees and if indeed they have been sent by ESCOM’’.

Gama has, alongside other suspects, Aubrey Chidothi and Dickson Lexon Chipoya, who were arrested on the scene, have since been appearing before Balaka First Grade Magistrate’s Court. The three suspects are answering charges of attempted theft and malicious damage which can attract a five year jail term, according to the penal code.

Chipoya is aged 34 and is from Chinamwali village, T/A Kuntumanje,Zomba  whereas Chidothi is 38 years old and hails from Nkando Village, T/A Juma in Mulanje

Lawyers cannot track down and contact the parents of 545 children separated by the Trump administration.

Out of the 1,030 families separated, the parents of only 485 children have been located.

In 2018, the Trump administration instituted a “zero tolerance” policy that separated migrant families at the US-Mexico border. Since then, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other pro-bono law firms have been tasked with finding the parents of the migrant children. According to NBC News, lawyers from the ACLU have said that they have been unable to locate the parents of 545 migrant children. In addition to this, it was reported that approximately two-thirds of those parents have been deported to Central America without their children.

Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project spoke to NBC News:

It is critical to find out as much as possible about who was responsible for this horrific practice while not losing sight of the fact that hundreds of families have still not been found and remain separated. There is so much more work to be done to find these families. People ask when we will find all of these families, and sadly, I can’t give an answer. I just don’t know. But we will not stop looking until we have found every one of the families, no matter how long it takes. The tragic reality is that hundreds of parents were deported to Central America without their children, who remain here with foster families or distant relatives.

Some families have asked that their children remain in the US.

Lee Gelernt further explained that some of the parents who have been located and contacted have chosen to keep their children in the US. Taking this further, they have elected to keep their children with relatives or sponsors out of fear of what will happen to their children if they were to return to their home countries. The search for the separated families continues as the group Justice in Motion is “physically searching for the separated parents in Mexico and Central America.” In a statement, the group commented:

While we have already located many deported parents, there are hundreds more who we are still trying to reach. It’s an arduous and time-consuming process on a good day. During the pandemic, our team of human rights defenders is taking special measures to protect their own security and safety, as well as that of the parents and their communities.

Three Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) transformers have been burnt in Dedza a development that has led to power outages in some parts of the district and erratic water supply.

In charge for ESCOM in Dedza Mr Jackson Phiri has confirmed the reports saying they have reported the problem to their head office and they are waiting for them to install new transformers.

Minister of Gender Patricia Kaliati has directed the Ministry’s officials and police to ensure that all street kids vacate the country’s streets by Wednesday next week.

She has made the directive in Balaka today, Friday, adding that, if this directive is not adhered to, she will go to the streets herself on Thursday.

These two best buds were given just a 2% survival rate at birth, but they stunned everyone when they posed for a photo on their graduation.

Odin Frost and Jordan Granberry, now both 18, weren’t even expected to live until this day, but they proved everyone wrong. Their parents were told they would never be able to walk and would live in a ‘vegetative state’ if they somehow survived through childhood, LADbible reveals.

Well, not only did Odin and Jordan survived, but they just graduated 15 years after being told they might not make it through their early years.

When they were just three-years-old, making it to school age, the boys were snapped in an adorable photo. Now, 15 years later, they recreated the snap on their graduation day!

Odin and Jordan have been best friends ever since their first day of school. Despite being partially non-verbal, the boys have been sharing a deeply special bond. Even though talking was a challenge, the boys had their own way of communication through playing music at school. Their parents have always been extremely proud of their incredibly strong spirits and eagerness to live. Odin’s father, Tim Frost, shares:

“My son and his best friend were both told their survival rate would be around 2 percent, that they’d never walk, and that they’d live in a vegetative state – if they made it past seven years. Both walked the stage and graduated. I was on cloud 19. I was so fricking proud of him.”

When Deanda, Odin’s mom, was pregnant with him, she had preeclampsia. She gave birth to her baby boy three weeks early with a bleed on the brain. The baby’s condition was so critical doctors couldn’t determine an exact diagnosis. All they could say was that he wouldn’t be able to walk or talk and that his mental state’s development would be severely limited due to his brain problems.

But despite all expectations, Odin survived! He went to a school for children with additional needs, and it was the best thing ever, as this was the place he met his lifelong friend Jordan.

Mr. Frost told CBS News:

“Their very first day of school, they were put in the same classroom. They pretty much had this immediate bond. Neither one of them could speak, but wherever the other one was, they were always together.”

What’s more, the best pals also have walked, despite being told they wouldn’t be able to. It was Odin who first got better at walking. One day, when he was four-years-old, he just got out of bed and started walking around the house His parents were both bewildered and extremely happy.

“We were just bawling crying because they said he would never do that.”

The touching photos of the two boys were shared by Tim, who shares he was surprised to receive so many kindhearted messages. The proud father notes that usually, people are being mean to his boy, staring at him, making fun of his condition. But when he shared this astonishing milestone the best friends reached, all he received from netizens ‘has just been kindness’.

“My wife and I just lay there in bed reading the comments, and we were crying at how beautiful it is.”

Mr. Frost says all he, his wife, and Jordan’s parents want is for their sons’ story to be seen, so the boys could be appreciated for ‘the beautiful humans they are, and seen for their accomplishments’.

After a series of posts on social media went viral with claims that hand sanitizers were responsible for burnt cars and buildings, the British National Health Service has warned that hand sanitizers are not to be left in cars or other hot environments as they could possibly catch fire and burn down property.

This comes after deadly reports of similar incidents were recorded across the UK this summer, with one being of a car door that was melted after a bottle of hand sanitizer caught fire.

The alcohol-based hand sanitizer is a flammable substance widely used in the fight against coronavirus across the globe.

In Zimbabwe, the government urged citizens and businesses likewise to use the flammable substance to protect against the virus.

As such, the public is highly cautioned to safely use hand sanitizers and avoid exposing the substance to hot surfaces or environments, sources reports.

Zimbabwe currently has favorable winter temperatures, thereby reducing chances of related incidents.

However, temperatures are fairly on the rise in the southern parts of the country with some places such as Lupane, and Hwange hitting 26C.

“If it is 25C outside, the estimated vehicle interior air temperature can reach up to 50C if left for a couple of hours,” a CE Safety spokesperson said to The Sun.

Warm temperatures can cause pressure to build up inside the hand sanitizer bottle resulting in raptures or explosions. In some case when bottles are tightly closed, flammable vapours get released into the air and ignitions can be sparked by hot temperatures.
