A French couple have been arrested after they sparked outrage when they were seen having s£x on a remote Thai beach.

The pair, named by officers as Halan, 24, and Nadia, 24, were reportedly seen romping on the sand at Rayee Beach on the holiday island of Phuket on April 10.

Footage appears to shows the n@ked  woman on top of her partner as they moved vigorously in full view of several stunned passers-by.

Pictures taken at the station show Halan and Nadia covering their faces.

They both reportedly admitted it was them in the video, and they were fined 5,000 baht (£115) each for “committing an indecent act in public by being naked or exposing the body, or committing other obscene acts”.

Police Colonel Anurak Parinyasathirakul said: “Officers explained to the two tourists why it was illegal to do what they did. They said they did not know it was an offence. They said they were relaxed because they are on holiday and became carried away in the moment.

“Both of the tourists admitted what they did and accepted a fine. Their details were taken, and the immigration officers were notified of the case for consideration of their visas.”

Public s£x is punishable by a fine of up to 5,000 baht under Thai law. But the threat has seemingly done little to deter holidaymakers from engaging in outdoor nudity.

The thief was sleeping and still drowsy when the police officers woke him up after falling asleep on a bed in the house he wanted to rob

A thief broke into a police officer’s house, then climbed into a bed and fell asleep.

The incident took place on March 22 in the Nam Rorn sub-district of Wichianburi in Petchabun province in northeastern Thailand.

Police sergeant Sakda Jiamprasert woke in the night at around 2am and heard the air-conditioner running in his daughter’s room.

Remembering that his daughter had gone away for a few days, the police went outside and peeked into her bedroom window.

There, Sakda saw the burglar, Athip Kinkhunthot, curled up in his daughter’s bed, with his housebreaking tools next to him.

Sakda immediately called for backup.

Kinkhunthot, 22, had been fast asleep and was still drowsy when the police officers woke him up.

According to Thai news site, The Nation, the burglar told police that he had been prowling the neighbourhood for quite some time looking for a suitable target and had become very tired.

He broke into Officer Jiamprasert’s house but then decided to take a short break before ransacking the property.

Kinkhunthot turned on the aircon and settled down for a five-minute nap but the next thing he knew it was hours later and he was being ”rudely” woken by the police.

Although Kinkhunthot hadn’t actually stolen anything, he was still arrested for criminal damage, as well as breaking and entering.

A tourist Soipov Abdullokh has died after he fell to his death while taking selfies at a waterfall.

It is gathered that the 22-year-old man from Uzbekistan was stuck in Thailand due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He went hiking with six Russian friends in Ranong, southern Thailand, on Saturday morning and allegedly ignored warning signs not to stand at the top of the waterfalls in the national park.

He is reported to have slipped on the wet surface and fell to his death 50ft below.

His body was discovered among sharp rocks at the bottom of the waterfall two hours later by emergency services.

He had suffered a deep cut to his head and was declared dead at the scene.

His body has since been transferred to the Ranong Hospital for a post-death examination.

When questioned by the police, his friends, four men and two women, all said that he had stood on top of the waterfall to take selfies among the idyllic surroundings in the Ngao Waterfall National Park.

Speaking about Soipov’s death, Chalit Sinrojthanakorn, head government officer for the national park, said the late Soipov had ignored warnings not to go near the edge of the waterfall due to its slippery surface. He said:

“As soon as we received the call we immediately coordinated with the rescue foundation and the police. The young foreign tourist and his friends rented motorbikes and travelled from Phuket to view the beautiful scenery. The deceased walked off the path set out by authorities to climb the waterfall. He then slipped on a rock and fell. His body crashed against the rocks below and he was bleeding through the mouth and nose. The death was very quick.”

The park ranger said that Soipov had “violated” a ban on climbing the waterfall because he “wanted to take pictures”.

Police said the tourist’s body has been sent to the hospital to confirm the cause of death and the Embassy of Uzbekistan has been informed.

Thailand-A mobile gaming addict was found dead inside his apartment with signs he was electrocuted after charging his phone and playing with it at the same time.

Delivery company employee Tinnakorn Rattanauppaphan, 32, had the smartphone plugged in to an extension cable while using it at his rented room in Nan, northern Thailand.

He had been missing from work for two days which caused worried among his friends who went to check on him last Friday.

They found him lying still on the mattress below a window. When they tried to wake him he was unresponsive so they contacted the police. Officers believe Tinnakorn had been dead for two days.

They suspected that he was electrocuted to death as they found burn wounds on both of his swollen hands that were touching the phone and charger cable.

The deceased’s friends Kriatipong Riankham, 29, and Wutthipong Penharn, 26, said their friend had no enemy or problems but only that he spent most of his free time playing on his phone games.

They said: ‘We started to worry after he had been absent from work for a couple days, which was unusual for him.’

He never mentioned having any stress or problems but he had always spent his free time playing online games on his phone.’

The police sent the body for a post-mortem examination and labelled the death as an accident in their initial report.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Samran Wongchaiya said: ‘Our initial investigations show that there was no trace of fighting or anything that suggests suspicious activity.

‘So we believe that he was electrocuted to death as he had signs of electrocution and the cause is also consistent with the testimonies of his friends and family that he spent a lot of time playing mobile games.’
