As one way of strengthening its commitment to providing affordable and innovative services to its customers Airtel Malawi has re-launched its mobile money platform, Airtel Money.
During a press brefing in Blantyre Airtel Malawi Deputy Managing Director Maurice Newa said the service is the answer to task of creating innovative financial solutions that rest on the mobile platform to a country dominated by mostlty unbanked population.
Newa added that Airtel Malawi is committed to providing solutions to its customers which are aimed at removing barriers to financial services and give them freedom to do what they want with their mobile phones.
Airtel Money allows customers to send money to their friends and relatives electronically using their mobile phones uplifting the burden of carrying hard cash.
Among others the service also enables Airtel customers to settle their bill payments and transact banking services on their mobile phones at the confort of their homes.
