One person has died after being hit by a running minibus at Machinga Trading Centre on Wednesday.
Machinga Police spokesperson, Andrew Mawayo confirmed of the incident.
According to the police, the victim was hit by a minibus registration number BN 2129 as he was trying to cross Muluzi bridge while pushing a bicycle.
The victim was taken to Mlombwa health centre and later referred to Machinga district hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Postmortem results showed that the deceased died due to internal bleeding.
Police said the driver was likely to be charged with causing death due to reckless driving.
