WANDERERS COACH STEPS DOWN

Might Wanderers Coach Gerald Phiri has resigned as Manoma’s head coach, following the recent poor performance of the team.

According to information sourced by FaceofMalawi, Phiri disclosed this yesterday in a letter addressed to the teams General Secretary Mike Butawo.

Speaking during a crisis meeting convened by the team’s management today, Butawo said the team will soon reveal who will replace Phiri.

Wanderers FC travelled to Northern Region over the Weekend to fulfill two TNM Super League assignment with Moyale Barracks and Karonga United.

Out of the two assignments, Wanderers only managed to collect a single point after settling for a draw with Moyale barracks, before going down to the struggling Karonga United 2-1.

The development saw the team sliding downward with a single step on the TNM log table from position 11 to 12.
