Police in Kasungu are hunting for a Woman who allegedly stole a 1-month old baby at Chinkhoma Trading Centre who has since been recovered.
Kasungu Police publicist Edwin Kaunda confirmed of the development in an interview with a privately owned radio and identified the owner of the baby as Masiye Thonera.
According to Kaunda, the suspect identified as Mphatso Mwale tricked the owner of the baby, saying she was looking for house work and her wish was granted.
Later the suspect took the baby and told the owner that she was going at a nearby shop to top up her phone.
The development gave the suspect a chance to escape.
Meanwhile Police have recovered the baby and handed back to the owner.
