A man and his wife are in police custody for alleged stealing two goats.
Balaka police spokesperson Joseph Sauka identified the couple as Langesi Rodrick, 24 and Stella Cedrick, 21.
According to Sauka, it is said that the two broke into the Kraal of Stella Wanderson in Josua village and managed to walk steal two goats on 27 August 2015.
They slaughtered the goats right there in the kraal and packed it in sacks, and they were caught by the members of the community and taken to Balaka police station said; Sauka.
FaceofMalawi understands that just some few hours before this incident the two together with Ndaona Samson aged 26 were also caught red handed stealing fresh maize.
They are yet to appear before court to answer charges of theft.
Langesi Rodrick, Stella Cedrick and Ndaona Samson hail from Josua village in the area of Traditional Authority Nsamala in Balaka district.
